Wardrobe Foundation

Eloise and Lisa founded this social enterprise during the first Covid lockdown in 2020. Set up to provide clothing gift bags to women in need of clothing support across Dorset, Hampshire and BCP.

Working with over 50 charities & organisations (foodbanks, womens refuges, probation services, home start..) to deliver clothing gift bags, so far they have delivered 480 gift bags (over 11,000 items of clothing). They are a community resource for organisations to use to further their support within the local community.

Each gift bag is tailored specifically to the lady receiving it, through size, style, clothing preference and clothing need. The main goal is for the lady receiving the gift bag to feel empowered, confident and cared for – hence using the term ‘gift bags’. Fulfilling a practical need whilst ensuring this can be done with dignity and put a smile of the recipients face!
The gift bags are put together using kindly donated clothing. The aim is to use clothing that is no longer needed and pass this on to someone who needs it, in essence a redistribution of clothing! By doing so, keeping clothing in circulation for longer.

Since becoming an ambassador for the organisation in 2020 I have been on a mission to help raise funds and awareness for the fantastic work they do. All Swish It! Event proceeds are donated to The Wardrobe Foundation.
